The Crown season 3 is returning for a second round of the royal drama. Academy Award winner Olivia Colman will play the role of Queen Elizabeth II.

Before it was played by the enigmatic Claire Foy. Foy is also making an appearance in season four. He has been spotted on the filming set scenes. It is believed that it would be a recreation of the Queen’s 21st birthday broadcast from Cape Town, South Africa in 1947.

It’s yet not clear  exactly when the fourth season will be released on Netflix. The season 3 landed in November 2019. Most probably it will release in November or December 2020. Be ready for its release date.

Season three has picked up the plot of around 1969. It’s shown Harold Wilson’s election as Prime Minister and about her ending as Majesty’s Silver Jubilee in 1977. It is believed that season four will unfold the backdrop of the ’80s and early ’90s.
