Merry Happy Whatever revolved around the Quinn family, centered around the holiday theme. The show introduces us to Don Quinn, the family patriarch, who awaits the arrival of the Christmas vacations when he can be together with his family. Despite the demands, grind, and stress of his dysfunctional clan, Don tries to get everyone together to spend some quality time. This is when his youngest daughter Emmy arrives from LA, accompanied by her new boyfriend.
Is the show up for another season?
A comedy series based on the holiday season, focusing on a dysfunctional family. While most would agree that eight Christmas-themed episodes are probably plenty, showrunner and writer Tucker Cawley has reportedly entertained the idea of continuing the sitcom with subsequent seasons to be based around other holiday periods. There are more and more vacations to experience more and more annoying social interactions with your family. Netflix could use Merry Happy regardless of the annual version of Christmas comedy or another for other holidays such as Independence Day and Halloween. Though, Netflix recently broke the news that the series has been canceled and another season will not see the light of the day.
