Police Arrest 2 Suspected Motorcycle Thieves In Dutse

The Police in Jigawa have arrested two suspected motorcycle thieves in Dutse Local Government Area of the state. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Abdu Jinjiri, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse on Friday. Abdu said the suspects were arrested in Belleri village after they allegedly attacked a commercial motorcyclist with the intention of snatching his boxer motorcycle. “On April 5 at about 4 p.m., policemen arrested two suspects in Dutse after they attacked a motorcyclist, Abdullahi Abdulhamid, with the intent to rob him of his motorcycle. “In the process, the victim and one of the suspects were seriously injured. “All the suspects are from Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State,” Jinjiri said. He said that both the victim and the suspect are currently receiving treatment at the Rasheed Shekoni Specialist Hospital, Dutse. He said that during investigation, one of the suspects identified one Nasiru a.k.a. Nass and one Mohammed a.k.a. Hilal as their accomplices. According to the PPRO, the suspects will be charged to court at the conclusion of investigation. He said that police had launched a man-hunt for the two identified accomplices. (NAN)
